Biography

Yenny is a professional Artist, Arts Program Developer and Lecturer who has worked in conjunction with various institutions, organisations and private parties around the globe.

Utilising photography as her main medium, she is very passionate about the unique values of traditional camera techniques - fusing them with images of the modern world.

Having trained at RMIT and Melbourne School of Fashion, Yenny has built on her education in Vienna where she studied Art Theory, Theatre and Video Production at the University of Vienna.

Yenny has exhibited widely and has been a finalist in several award exhibitions across Australia and Europe. Whilst still exhibiting regularly in the gallery context, her work is also frequently seen in public spaces, putting them into new context with our surrounding and urban space as well as making them more accessible to the general public.

As well as exhibiting her work, Yenny has lectured at the International College of Creative Arts, Melbourne and conducted photographic programs for adults and children at Gasworks Arts Park, Janet Clark Hall College and other institutions.

Most recently, Yenny has completed a three month Studio Residency at the Cité International des Arts, awarded by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Art and Culture which concluded with a large-scale projection, sound & performance installation in Vienna in October 2007.
